Fiddlehead

Shimmering, textural wonders in 27 new and returning colorways!  Maiden Hair is an incredibly sensual yarn invention: there is almost no sense that it doesn’t in some way touch.  Obviously, all those curls and squiggles of yarn fully engage your tactile senses; then there’s the visual titillation of shimmering silk surrounded by a soft halo of comforting kid mohair.  Taste?  You’d think that taste would be left behind, but I have to say that every time I gaze at some Maiden Hair, my mouth starts to water as though I were looking with an empty stomach at a 5-star meal.  And then there’s smell, also something I would have expected Maiden Hair to leave unaffected, but no! The way it takes color is so filled with life, that even though there’s no particular aroma involved, in my mind I’m smelling the damp, shady woods when I look at Fiddlehead, or catching whiffs of cinnamon toast when I see Brown Sugar.  Finally, there’s balance, something very hard to maintain when deciding which one of these beauties to take home with you, here.

Pewter

A full 20 new and new-to-us colorways of Silken arrived and have found cozy spots in our yarn room where they can rest from their travels.  The photo above gives you an idea of how different and truly amazing these newly rendered colorways are.  To be able to offer a 2-ply 100% silk DK yarn that is dyed with fairy dust and moonlight is pure delight, but nothing compared to the joy of creating with it, here.

Meadow

Keri also took new photos of all the skeins of Sea Wool so that you can now see them at their best.  The addition of Seacell® to premium wool, as you can see, makes the colors deep, rich and lustrous.  It also adds a bit of weight to enhance the drape of your fabric when you wear it.  Simply delightful for sweaters, lace, and socks, here.

Ireland

Keri just took a bit of time out of her busy-as-usual day and rephotographed all the skeins of Merino 2/6 that had never been captured using our new process.  The result: now you can see how really beautiful they are!  Whether for beautiful lace, or true-to-nature socks, this 100% Merino superwashed fingering yarn is a joy, here.

Amber

A bit more Lino just hitched a ride with some other yarns, and are we glad it did.  We think Lino (a perfect blend of silk and linen), is one of the most exciting lace yarns ever spun.  It starts out a wee bit “crunchy” and with every stitch, every wearing, every washing gets softer and softer and more and more beautiful.  It’s as if every bit of attention you give it just makes it smile more and more.  Experience a gem, here.
