We have a generous amount of Baby Alpaca in the old 250g skeins still available and need to send them off to new homes so that we can have enough room for the new 125g put-ups. As with Scotia Silk, these are priced to create that room fast – and, as with Scotia Silk, we expect our limited supply won’t last very long. See them here.

As with Scotia Silk, Fleece Artist Baby Alpaca is now avaiable in 125g skeins. More are on the way, but many are already here. Enjoy what I consider the ultimate “petting yarn” in smaller, more economical skeins.
We just received an abundance of Casbah in about a dozen colorways – 8 of them new to us! Mmmm! Luxuriously soft cashmere/wool with just enough nylon for strength – superwashed, too, for your sock making and wearing pleasure. See them all here.
About 10 new colorways plus some old favorites are now happily displayed on their web page, hoping you’ll take them home with you. Fleece Artist’s River is a DK yarn sporting a happy marriage of alpaca, silk and merino wool. What’s not to love? Personally, I find the drape of this yarn extraordinary and its ratio of beauty to price to be nearly mind boggling. This is a great yarn at a pedestrian price – see the new arrivals and more here.
The newly arrived River means that there are many more Kims available in many more color choices, here.
We have just received about 20 new Headband/Hat kits- made quick and sumptuous in Hand Maiden 12-ply Cashmere. The combination of fun and fast knitting with ultimate sensual comfort is hard to beat – let your inner quick knitter play here.
Swiss Mountain Silk, nestled in the majestic Alps of Switzerland, and Hand Maiden, alive with color in the bracing terrain of Nova Scotia, have combined forces once again, yielding up a superlative DK yarn that is aglow with color and evocative with its drape and flow. There is a understated quality about this fiber that brings the eye back to it again and again – you’ll find that anything you make in it reverberates with interest and the sort of beauty that arises in the mind’s eye long after it has left your field of vision. It’s as if it had a soft, gentle voice of its own, one that engages all who see it in conversation about all that is lovely in the world. Not to mention that it is a joy to knit! See over 30 colorways here.
We must be really ready for winter to be over – we’ve started spring cleaning already! In our travels through the yarn room, we found a kit and a yarn poised for our Clearance page:
We have two Dreadlocks Poncho kits remaining at an enticing price. If you like silky-soft bouclé with a drape-y bounce to it, you’ll find it at a price to love here.
And then, we’re bidding a reluctant adieu to Somoko which has been replaced with Nyoni. You’ll find this superlative sock yarn priced to create more space in our yarn room quickly, here. There are lots and lots of skeins to choose from right now, so do have fun shopping!
Armloads of Woolie Silk 3-ply clad in the latest renditions of favorite colorways are here for your knitting pleasure. Woolie Silk 3-ply is one of the great yarns ~ the things you can do with it are both wonderful and amazing.
These kits merely whisper the possibilities:

With the arrival of the new 125g put-ups (see below), we need more space. We have placed our remaining 250g skeins of Scotia Silk on Clearance, with a price that is designed to give us that space fast! You can see them, while they last, here.
We’ve been pretty busy since we last posted here – lots of new, good things coming along. One of them is that we have made the switch-over to Fleece Artist’s new 125g skeins of Scotia Silk. This means that for those smaller projects you will need to buy less yarn – and for larger projects, you will often be able to finish up with, say 3 125g skeins instead of 2 250g skeins. Overall, a very good thing for everyone. You can see the new 125g skeins here.
All of our Scotia Silk kits are now being filled with the 125g skeins, too:
