Snow Crocus

Kathryn Thomas (Fleece Artist’s founder) sent us an alluring sample of Dev, 100% Merino wool spun into an Aran weight cloud of softness, with a note saying she had picked up a very small quantity of it that one of her mills had lying about – were we interested? It took about three seconds of feeling the springy softness of Dev, imagining all the while vests, sweaters, felted bags and hats, for us to say, “You bet! Send us the whole lot!”

So she did – and here it is for you. Enjoy it while it lasts, here!

Fleece Artist Aran Alpaca - Midnight

Aran Alpaca has been discontinued by the mill and Fleece Artist has had to conclude that finding a new mill for this yarn just isn’t in the cards (this year, at least). So, we bid a sad farewell to a wonderful Aran weight yarn, and offer what we have left at a price as lovely as it is, here.

And, to make things a bit more fun, we’ve also put the three Aran Alpaca kits that we have on clearance, too, at equally lovely prices:

Fleece Artist BFL Aran – 1/8/09

Beet

The best wool yarn in Aran weight coziness – hugably soft and cushy, but with BFL’s long-staple strength for years and years of happy wear. We’ve just received 6 new colorways including Beet, which is new to us. The remaining color renditions indicate that the Fleece Artists are alive and well, creatively clothing yarn with colors to delight our hearts. See the new and the old here.
