Ivory

Flaxen is one of my very favorite yarns, partly because of its intrinsic beauty, but also because it seems to be a different yarn every time you pick it up. It starts out a bit stiff and, well, stringy (it is linen and silk, after all). But as you knit you discover it relaxing and draping and taking on very leisurely airs. Wear it for a while and you’ll find that in additon to its acquired relaxed drape, it also becomes softer and softer. This yarn is like a good wine – it just gets better and better as time goes by. It’s just a delight, here.
